Requirements and Entry
Do not enter the Cup the moment your board barely touches 93 if one slot is unstable. A single poor replacement or chemistry break can push the squad back under the gate. Prepare by raising the lowest lanes first and preserving a few rerolls for emergency fixes.
The Cup gate also gives beginners a clear metric. Before 93, optimize the XI. At 93, test tournament play. After consistent cup wins, shift resources toward the five-cup unlock path and special-card planning.
| Requirement | Meaning | Preparation |
|---|---|---|
| 93+ OVR | Minimum squad rating for Cup Mode. | Fix weak slots before spending on luxury cards. |
| Best team selected | Use the strongest stable XI. | Do not break chemistry right before entering. |
| Cup wins | Progress toward Cup Player unlocks. | Track wins and spend rewards between attempts. |
| 5 cups | Unlock path for 105+ OVR Cup standout cards. | Farm only when the team can win reliably. |
Cup Players and Nerf Notes
The Roblox page says Cup Players were added, then later nerfed, with saved BestTeams keeping old OVR. This matters because screenshots of older saved teams may not match newly unlocked card values. Always compare the source date before using a screenshot as ranking proof.
A 105+ Cup Player can be a top anchor, but the unlock route is gated behind wins. If your squad struggles to stay above 93, improve consistency first. A player who cannot reliably win cups should treat Cup Players as a target, not the next immediate spend.
Custom Kits and Podium Pressure
The update also added custom team kits and a podium for the top three best teams. These features do not change the 93 OVR requirement, but they increase the social value of a polished squad. A team shown on the podium needs both rating and presentation.
Use cosmetics after the core XI is stable. Spending attention on a kit before your board can enter Cup Mode is harmless, but it does not solve the progression gate.
